How shaving your head can lead to spiritual growth

...ok Brittney

I shaved my head.

Yup.

First time ever. It was one of those impulsive… “I’m holding a pair of clippers and I feel like all my hair should be gone right now” moments.

NGL, I asked myself… is this how Brittney felt?

My friends told me I had a Brittney moment and kept calling me Brittney lol.

But tbh… even though I look WEIRD af…

I couldn’t imagine myself with hair right now. I would feel like… well… like nothing changed.

And when I’m actively trying to change the way I feel, my habits, and my behaviors… I feel like

IF NOTHING CHANGES, NOTHING CHANGES.

This is a big realization I’ve had this last year.

Literally, as SOON as I moved to Colombia, I started waking up at 4:40 AM to get to the gym at 5.

I DIDN’T MISS ONE DAY IN THREE MONTHS.

This is unheard of for me. One of the hardest things for me to do is get out of bed in the mornings… when it’s a bit cold, my sheets are warm, and there’s no light out…

and when I’m in my same, comfortable, familiar place where I’m not used to waking up early.

But… when I was in a brand new environment? With a less-than-optimal bed? And with the purpose of building my online business?

I had NO trouble getting out of bed…

It’s almost like I completely reinvented myself. Like I was a new person.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE, YOU NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE.

Have you ever heard the definition of insanity?

If not, I’ll put it here:

“Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

Please… just think about this…

How do you expect to change your habits, patterns, behaviors, and ways of being if you don’t change…

  • Your environment

  • The way you look

  • The people you hang around

  • The place you live

  • The things you normally do

It actually makes no sense.

We are creatures of habit… and in order to change your habits, you need to give your brain a “pattern interrupt”.

So no… you don’t NEED to move to a different country. You don’t NEED to shave your head…

But…

If you don’t change ANYTHING about your current situation and EXPECT to magically change who you are…

You’re insane.

So if you’ve been feeling in a rut, like you’re trying to implement a new routine but it’s not working, or like you’re lacking motivation…

Take this as a sign.

CHANGE SOMETHING.

Get new roommates. Get new friends. Go to a different gym. Move cities. REINVENT YOURSELF.

I guarantee you it will make changing so much easier.

Goodluck homies.

Mau

PS.

Let me know if you decide to shave your head.

PPS.

Been thinking of opening up a few spots to help people who are looking to start making money online and travel to Latin America (or anywhere really).

Basically, I’d share what I’ve done and what’s worked for me.

In my experience, you don’t NEED to have everything ready to make the jump.

I used traveling to help me build my online business...NOT the other way around.

When you leave your home country and settle somewhere new for at least 2 months at a time,

You have the opportunity to develop new routines, get away from comfortable distractions, and reinvent who you are.

There is nothing better for personal, spiritual, and business growth.

So if you’re interested in something like this, reply with “REINVENT”.

If I get enough responses I’ll whip something up ;)
